What to Expect

We know that sometimes your first visit can feel a little overwhelming or intimidating. We think you'll quickly discover why we say, "This is for everyone." We are a diverse congregation of all ages and a place to take a next step wherever you are in your spiritual journey. We welcome the skeptic, the doubter, and the believer.

Below are some frequently asked questions when it comes to your first visit -

Pulling into a new church for the first time can be nerve-wracking. We want your parking experience to be as seamless as possible. We have designated parking for our guests, as well as accessible/handicap spots near ramped entrances to our Sanctuary.

Feel free to come a little early and grab a coffee and donut on the Church Patio. Here at Good Shepherd, one of our favorite things to do is spend time with friends. One way we do that is by sharing community time with one another each week. Take a few minutes and meet someone new before or after worship.

Whatever you’re comfortable in! You’ll see tons of people dressed in everything from t-shirts to their Sunday best, so no matter what you wear, we want you to feel comfortable.

If you’re joining us for our Sunrise Service, we recommend you dress in layers as it will be a bit chilly.

You will meet one of our team members at the Welcome Kiosk as soon as you walk onto our patio. Our team will be glad to welcome you, answer any questions you may have, and offer directions. As you enter the Sanctuary, an Usher will hand you a bulletin with the order of the service and will happily help you find a seat.

But don’t head into the Sanctuary too quickly, we’ll have lots to engage in on our Patio! Hot coffee, delicious donuts, photo ops and more.

Our aim is to pursue Jesus Christ with everything that we have. Our worship is authentic and passionate because Jesus is worthy of every bit of our worship. Our services last approximately 60 minutes.

At our Traditional Worship Services, you will partake in traditional Lutheran liturgy, led by our Choir and organist. At our Contemporary Worship Services, our Worship Band will guide us in reflective music. An impactful message and communion are part of all services, with the exception of Good Friday.

At Good Shepherd, we encourage you to participate in worship with your whole family.

Childcare is available for ages 4 and under in our Infant Toddler Room, should you want your child to experience an age-appropriate lesson while you attend service.

At our 10:00 am Contemporary Worship Service on Easter Sunday, we have a designated Children’s Time where kids are invited to the foot of the stage for a few minute mini lesson.

If your child becomes fussy or starts to get antsy during a service, we have a Family Viewing Room that has space for your child to play while you sit alongside them to listen into the service.

At 9:00 am, don’t forget to head over to the Preschool Courtyard for an Easter Egg Hunt 🐣 – ages Pre-K through 12th Grade are welcome to participate.

We have a team that prays regularly, and we’d love to pray for you. Share your prayer request HERE.
