This Month’s Theme: Building Champions for Life with Jim Kunau

This presentation will discuss the fundamentals necessary to successfully cultivate, nurture, and develop faith and character in young people, particularly adolescents. In today’s culture, kids and adolescents are increasingly under destructive pressure from a highly secularized culture and consequently need caring and wise adult Christ-centered mentor leaders more than ever today. Biblical principles, stories, and experiences will be shared to encourage and inspire men who want to pour their best into the lives of young people and be that transformational presence kids need.

Meet the Speaker: Jim Kunau

Jim developed a successful football program at Orange Lutheran High School, which saw his teams ranked among the best in California and the nation. When Jim arrived at Orange Lutheran, they were an average Division 11 program. Several years later they were a strong Division 1 program competing in the Trinity League. He also developed the football program at Rancho Christian High School which had success as well. He is one of two high school football coaches in CA history to win State Championships at more than one school. His teams won 18 league championships in 27 seasons. He has had 10 assistant coaches go on to become head high school football coaches. For the past two years he has been the Director of the Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration (MCAA) program at Concordia University Irvine.
