And hey, with all the hands-on fun, don't be surprised if things get a little messy—just make sure to come dressed for action in clothes you can move and groove in, plus those trusty closed-toe shoes.

Oh, and don't forget to wear your provided VBS shirt—it's the must-have attire for this beach bash! But wait, there's more: we'll also spread some serious sunshine with a special outreach project, showing Jesus' love to our community.

FAQs

  • Vacation Bible School is a summer gathering hosted by Good Shepherd where children typically learn about the Bible through games, crafts, songs, and other activities. It's open to Kids ages entering Pre-K by 6/17/24 to 5th grade Fall 2024.

  • For our pre-K through 5th grade kids, VBS takes place from Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

    If you are currently enrolled in a Full Day program at Good Shepherd Preschool, your child will participate in VBS-themed activities all week long!

  • Early Bird Pricing is offered through May 5 at the rate of $100 per child. We bump up to Standard Pricing at $120 per child beginning May 6.

    Children enrolled in our Preschool Full Day program will not pay additional costs to participate.

  • Kids entering Pre-K by 6/17/24 to 5th grade Fall 2024 are invited to participate in our VBS program.

    For those who are older and would like to be involved, we have volunteer opportunities for you! Email our Family Ministry Director, Stephanie McArthur, at stephanie@gslcirvine.org to learn more about volunteering.

  • If your child is currently enrolled in Good Shepherd Preschool’s Full Day Program, you do NOT need to register. Your child will be participating in “Surf’s Up” themed happenings all week long as part of their Preschool weekly schedule.

    For our children who will be graduating from Good Shepherd Preschool, we invite you to register! If your child is entering Pre-K by 6/17/24 and/or they have a older sibling who is interested in attending, you can register here.

  • Yes! We have a variety of snacks, with gluten-free and dairy-free options available depending on your child’s needs. All snacks are nut-free as we are a nut-free campus.

    We kindly ask that you notify us of any allergies upon registering your child.

  • There are LOTS of ways you can get involved as part of VBS! Whether it be preparing stage decor, being a crew leader, or serving snacks - we have a place for you!
