As we consider passing our faith onto the next generation, we will often hear the sentiment, "I want my grandkids in heaven with me!" Our Grandparenting Ministry and the Legacy Coalition are driven by that desire and seek to equip grandparents to impact their grandkids more effectively than ever before.
We are excited to welcome the Legacy Coalition Founder & CEO, Larry Fowler, to our church to inspire and empower grandparents to be a spiritual light in their families. While many of you may be affirmed in what you are already doing with your grandkids, others will be challenged to take their grandparenting to a level they have not considered before. All who join us will be blessed, equipped, and encouraged on your walk.
This initiative is not meant to be done alone, but in community! Join us following the presentation to meet fellow grandparents, enjoy a delicious lunch, and grow spiritually with others.
The presentation with Larry is FREE to attend, but if you would like to join us for the Luncheon to build community with other grandparents, we kindly ask for $15 to cover the cost of the meal.
Meet the Speaker: Larry Fowler
Larry Fowler is the founder and CEO of the Legacy Coalition. In 2016, his vision for a national grandparenting ministry brought together a gifted team of family, children’s, and youth ministry leaders to launch this movement of God. His 40 years plus of ministry leadership, including experience as youth pastor, missionary, training staff, international director, and senior executive for Awana, have prepared him for this significant new calling.
Larry has authored books on children’s and family ministry, and is in high demand as a regular main stage speaker and workshop presenter at conferences. His most recent book, Overcoming Grandparenting Barriers, helps grandparents navigate family relationships when things aren’t perfect.
In 2012, he was recognized for his lifetime of contribution to Children’s Ministry in America by the International Network of Children’s Ministry, with their national Legacy Award. Larry and his wife, Diane, live in Riverside, California. They have two children and seven grandchildren.
