All About the Grandkids: Live Presentation with Larry Fowler + Lunch

As we consider passing our faith onto the next generation, we will often hear the sentiment, "I want my grandkids in heaven with me!" Our Grandparenting Ministry and the Legacy Coalition are driven by that desire and seek to equip grandparents to impact their grandkids more effectively than ever before.

We are excited to welcome the Legacy Coalition Founder & CEO, Larry Fowler, to our church to inspire and empower grandparents to be a spiritual light in their families. While many of you may be affirmed in what you are already doing with your grandkids, others will be challenged to take their grandparenting to a level they have not considered before. All who join us will be blessed, equipped, and encouraged on your walk.

This initiative is not meant to be done alone, but in community! Join us following the presentation to meet fellow grandparents, enjoy a delicious lunch, and grow spiritually with others.

The presentation with Larry is FREE to attend, but if you would like to join us for the Luncheon to build community with other grandparents, we kindly ask for $15 to cover the cost of the meal.

Meet the Speaker: Larry Fowler
Larry Fowler is the founder and CEO of the Legacy Coalition. In 2016, his vision for a national grandparenting ministry brought together a gifted team of family, children’s, and youth ministry leaders to launch this movement of God. His 40 years plus of ministry leadership, including experience as youth pastor, missionary, training staff, international director, and senior executive for Awana, have prepared him for this significant new calling.

Larry has authored books on children’s and family ministry, and is in high demand as a regular main stage speaker and workshop presenter at conferences. His most recent book, Overcoming Grandparenting Barriers, helps grandparents navigate family relationships when things aren’t perfect.

In 2012, he was recognized for his lifetime of contribution to Children’s Ministry in America by the International Network of Children’s Ministry, with their national Legacy Award. Larry and his wife, Diane, live in Riverside, California. They have two children and seven grandchildren.

Discipleship Study: Interior Freedom

Discipleship Study: Interior Freedom

April 17 – May 29, 2024
Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Zoom

It's not always possible to control external events. There are many things outside of our control, but it is possible to gain control over our interior life. In this new discipleship study class, we delve into Interior Freedom, a book discussing how despite external factors beyond our control, we possess an inner space of freedom. Through class discussions centered on the reading material, we explore the concept that true happiness stems from claiming this innate freedom, sourced from God. The book, written in an accessible style, aims to liberate our hearts and minds to embrace the freedom inherent in our existence.

Book purchase and reading is required to participate in this study.
Click HERE for the Amazon link to purchase the book.
Study Guide will be provided to participants who register.

Bible Study for Beginners

Bible Study for Beginners

April 11 - May 16
Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Zoom

Study the Word of God slowly, ask questions, and discuss how it can apply to our lives today in our Zoom Bible Study for Beginners.

This class is for you if:

  • you are interested in learning more about the Bible in an easy friendly format. There is no homework, just your presence for an hour each week when class is in session.

  • you want to study the Bible in its context and understand the big picture. We look at every verse to discover the meaning of the passage.

  • you want to study the Bible with a small group in the comfort of your home. Save money in gas and time from commute while pursuing growth in the Lord.

  • English is your second language at an intermediate/advanced level. The class pace is slow with easy to answer questions.

For this next session, we’re diving into the amazing story of love and redemption found in Ruth. The book follows the life of Naomi and Ruth as they struggle through difficult trials and how God is at work in the day-to-day activities of their lives. While the events in this story happened thousands of years ago, when you join us in our study you will discover that the principles inside are very applicable still today.
