Grace Based Parenting
Parenting can be one of life's most rewarding and challenging roles, but it doesn't have to be done alone. Join us for the Grace Based Parenting Study Group at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church & Preschool, where we will explore a parenting blueprint rooted in the grace that God offers to His children. Based on the "Grace Based Parenting" series by Dr. Tim Kimmel, this group provides practical, biblically centered insights that help parents navigate the complexities of raising children in today’s world.
Through weekly video teachings and guided discussions, we'll dive into essential topics such as:
Why Parenting Is So Hard: Understanding the biblical reasons behind parenting struggles.
Faulty Parenting Blueprints: Identifying and overcoming cultural pressures that may lead us astray.
Building a Grace-Based Home: Focusing on the inner needs of your children—security, significance, and strength—through God’s grace.
Raising Kids for True Greatness: Learn what it truly means to raise successful children who love God and others.
This study group is designed for parents at all stages, whether you are parenting young children or teens, and will provide both encouragement and actionable steps to apply grace-based principles at home.
Come grow with us as we build stronger, grace-filled families!
Time and location will be determined by the group - complete the registration form if you’re interested!

5% All Church Serve: Marine Deployment Bags
The Bible calls each of us to serve – within our church, within the community and throughout the world. As part of our commitment to the 5% Life, we acknowledge spending 2% of our year in service - and we invite you to join us in doing so!
For the month of June, all ages are invited to join us in putting together 100 Deployment Bags for the Marines in the 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines. Every 6-8 months a battery from the 2/11 Battalion at Camp Pendleton is designated for overseas duty for 6-8 months, usually to Okinawa Japan. The trip to Japan is a long journey and we want to send them off well! Join us on the Church Patio between services on Sunday, June 30 to create these packages and write a thank you note to the Marines serving our country.
